Title Fight finished product

There's 2 versions of this shirt. One in Navy blue and one in Tie Dye. Seeing kids wearing this at the show on Saturday really meant a lot to me (as well as the kids wearing my Mother of Mercy shirt). Great band, great dudes, an honor to work with such young talent.

Last year I wrote, and kept rewriting, the opening paragraph of a western short story centered around a Mexican cannibalistic giant in the wilderness. I drew this a couple days ago, with that story in mind. This is a weak blog entry, i'm sorry. But I started sketching this and I thought it had a lot of character.

GORE FIX #1

A new mini comic I'm working on, complete with EC/Gore Shriek style comic stories. I'm really lazy so it will probably be like one story per "issue". I'll probably just give copies to friends, or anyone who wants one.
This is just a sketch of a potential cover, it's in pencil so it's kind of hard to see a lot of the tiny details.

bulldog flash

Playing around with watercolors and traditional tattoo flash style. The clouds got screwed up due to using a crappy pen. oops. Well it's not perfect but i'm still a beginner, who caresssssssss

These two drawings were done for a friend's band (www.myspace.com/funeralsca) I've been working on these for a couple days now. This wolf isn't perfect, but it will do.


I'm VERY happy with how the "turtle god" came out.

BELATED UPDATE

Well, I guess people actually read this. I've actually had people I know notice that I haven't updated in a while. Well I went back to school
last wednesday, and now that I'm all settled in it's time for responsibility to rear it's ugly head. But as long as there are boring classes, my art will thrive.Here is some stuff I busted out today (warning:none of this was done in class so don't be too impressed) We have a random melty zombie creature, a zombie/evil demented rabbit (that needs work), a newly inked creature from the black lagoon, a random zombie, andddd Lon Chaney as the Phantom of the Opera. Enjoy.

my body is a road map of pain

Milton Dammers is a brilliant character from the underrated movie The Frighteners. I think Jefferey Combs is brilliant in this role. The character of an FBI agent letting his undercover work get to his head has been done before, but never like this. Not only did what he experience get to his head, it got to his whole body. He's been a member of various nazi groups and satanic cults and has the scars to prove it.

zombie head

Well, I've been HOPING to turn in a new piece of art every day and realized I hadn't updated for today, so I drew this random zombie head really quick. It's nothing special, took me 5 minutes or so, but I'm not promising a masterpiece with every entry so cut me some slack.

I was in a Wes Anderson mood and I decided to draw Bill Murray from the Life Aquatic. Why? Because Bill Murray in Rushmore doesn't have an earring.

who's the babe?

I was working on this for a while today and it has been incredibly frustrating. I should have taken a simpler approach, because this is one of those drawings that just isn't working. I can not for the life of me get the hands or arms right, but that is probably because I'm basically copying a picture of snake eyes from G.I. Joe I found on google image for reference. Unfortunately snake eyes wears a skin tight suit and it is kinda hard to draw the physics of hoodies from memory.

nosferatu

I drew this creepy dude at around 12am this morning and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Nosferatu is essentially a German Dracula adaptation from the 1920s, for those who are unfamiliar.

I draw this fellow a lot, and I'm not sure why. I'm likely drawn to the amount of detail in the design of the creature, I think it's perfection. There's a stereotype with old 50's monster movies that all the costumes look really shoddy, but that was not the case with the creature from the black lagoon. I'm pretty proud of this piece, I put a lot of work into it (including taking embarrassing photos of myself in that pose for reference) I couldn't tell you what kind of pose that is, maybe he just wasn't expecting company.
It needs to be redone in ink, and as soon as I get ahold of my old lightbox I'll get to work on that and post pics.
